The Sporting Section of the Yacht Club de Monaco offers members a wide variety of sailing activities adapted to their level and nautical experience.
For beginners:
The YCM offers its members beginners' sessions to discover the joys of sailing, on J/24's every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 (noon), as well as on a Laser Pico’s starting in May, two evenings a week from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

To help you improve:
- Practice regatta session, organised on a J/24, on Saturday afternoons from 1:30 p.m.

For seasoned sailors:
The YCM invites its members who want to sail as crew to participate in the J/24 Monaco Championship, organised on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. and following the programme of events.

Palermo-Montecarlo race, or the Wally Record, which attracts the international elite of the sailing world and enables members to compete at the highest level.
Particularly active is the Smeralda 888 which also includes a truly international regatta circuit, the Smeralda 888 International Championship, with notable events at Porto Cervo, Saint-Tropez and in Corsica.

For those society members, who are passionate about the yachting tradition, training sessions are organised, on application and depending on availability of places, on the 1909 gaff cutter, Tuiga, the flagship of the Yacht Club de Monaco.

Society members who want to take the helm of a motor boat, can apply to a course to obtain a licence to drive yachts in coastal waters (on application and depending on places availability).
